The course “Modern English Lexicology” encompasses the fundamental theoretical knowledge about the composition of the English vocabulary and is aimed at developing linguistic competences and practical skills required for the professional teaching of the English language lexicon.
The content of the course “Modern English Lexicology” is in line with the State Educational Standards approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on May the 8th, 2013 (№ 124) which determine the level of knowledge and training of the learners and students in the field of foreign languages and serve as the basis for creating curricula and syllabi, as well as textbooks and manuals.
